"Before anything else is begun, Ganesha is remembered first. A lotus rests in his hand, the same flower that grows out of muddy water yet rises untouched and whole, a quiet reminder that new beginnings ask for purity of intention more than perfect conditions.

This belief has traveled through generations in India, passed down more through habit and traditions. This painting was made to be looked at before something new starts, a project, a home, a year, a life, so that whatever is coming can begin the way the lotus does, clean and certain."
